This is the first time the famous brand with the crown has sponsored the prestigious horse show in Piazza di Siena, now in its 86th edition. And, with Lorenzo De Luca, it was the first time in 24 years that an Italian show jumper has won the Rolex Rome Grand Prix.
The historic competition, held in Rome from May 24-27, featured the best Italian and international show jumpers in the evocative setting of the Villa Borghese gardens. It has joined the list of prestigious sporting events that Rolex has supported for over sixty years. Rolex has a long history of supporting horse riding events, which reflects the shared values of fair play, discipline, competence, talent and precision.
Rolex was also the Official Watch for the competition, as well as Title Sponsor of the Grand Prix of Rome.
